Woman killed on cruise ship, husband detained, cruise line saysPosted: 02:19 PM ET
(CNN) - A cruise ship returned to its home port in San Diego, California Thursday after a woman was killed onboard, the Carnival cruise line said in a statement. A domestic dispute between the married couple aboard the cruise ship Carnival Elation resulted in the wife's death Tuesday evening, the statement said. The husband was in custody aboard the ship and the vessel, which was on the final leg of a Baja Mexico cruise, returned to San Diego, Carnival said. Details of the incident were not immediately known. The 2,052-passenger Carnival Elation had departed on July 11 on a five-day cruise to Cabo San Lucas. |
