Police seize dad of dead Honduran teenagerPosted: 07:24 PM ET
By Karl Penhaul TEGUCIGALPA, Honduras (CNN) - Honduran police have arrested the father of a teenager killed in Sunday's violent clashes between supporters of ousted president Manuel Zelaya and security forces, police and family members said Friday. David Murillo, who describes himself as an evangelical pastor and small-time coffee producer, was arrested in Tegucigalpa Thursday, two days after burying his son Isis Murillo, 19. He was transferred to the eastern city of Juticalpa. A spokesman for police criminal investigations told CNN a warrant for the arrest of David Murillo was issued in May 2007 after he failed to fulfill the terms of a conditional bail, granted to him in 2004. |
