LONDON, England (CNN) - Ten British service members have been killed in Afghanistan in the last 10 days. The Defence Ministry said the latest was a soldier killed Friday in an explosion "during a deliberate operation near Nad-e-Ali, central Helmand province. The deaths come as fighting rages in Helmand province, where British troops have been based. The number of British troop deaths in Afghanistan stands at 179. Ten service members have died since July 1. |
