Strong quake reported near MexicoPosted: 08:07 AM ET
MEXICO CITY, Mexico (CNN) - A 6.0 earthquake struck Friday morning in the Gulf of California, off the western coast of Mexico, the U.S. Geological Survey reported. The quake's epicenter was located near the southern tip of Baja California, about 68 kilometers (42 miles) southwest of the city of Ahome in Sinaloa state. The temblor occurred at 5 a.m. local time (7 a.m. ET). There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries. |
