LOS ANGELES, California (CNN) - Michael Jackson's body was moved from a Los Angeles coroner's office to a mortuary Friday evening, a coroner said.

The body was moved in a van about 9:30 p.m. PT (12:30 a.m. Saturday ET) but Jackson's family asked that the location not be made public, said assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter.

"We ask that you respect the family wishes," Winter told reporters. "They are all grieving in their different ways."
