Prosecutor mulls capital murder charges in Kansas killingsPosted: 11:13 AM ET
(CNN) - A district attorney weighed the pursuit of the death penalty on Friday for a 37-year-old man charged with killing a toddler and three others at a Kansas City, Kansas, home. Adrian Burks has been charged with four counts of first-degree premeditated murder, but prosecutors are now considering capital murder charges that could result in the death penalty if convicted, Wyandotte County District Attorney Jerome Gorman said. Gorman said it could be another week before prosecutors decide to file new charges. |
