NYPD finds decomposing body in back seat of minivan

NEW YORK (CNN) - The white minivan had been ticketed three times as it sat for at least a month on a city street, but it was not until police started to have it towed away that they noticed the decomposing body inside.

The dead man has been identified as Jorge Morales, 58, of Garden City, New York, officials said Friday.

He died of heart disease, the city medical examiner's office said. It provided no information on how long the body might have been in the minivan.

The body was draped across the minivan's back seat behind tinted windows, said New York Police Department Detective Joe Cavitolo.
