WHO: 40 U.S. swine flu cases confirmedPosted: 11:37 AM ET
(CNN) - There are 40 confirmed U.S. cases of swine flu, the World Health Organization said Monday. There are also 26 confirmed cases in Mexico, six in Canada and one in Spain, a WHO representative said. A federal official also confirmed 40 U.S. cases of swine flu. The CDC was previously reporting 20 confirmed U.S. cases. A federal official told CNN the additional 20 cases confirmed Monday were at the same school in New York in which the previous eight U.S. cases were confirmed. More than 100 students at the school were out with flu-like symptoms last week. |
