KABUL, Afghanistan (CNN) - Two employees of an international non-governmental organization who were held captive for nearly a month were released Wednesday in southern Afghanistan, according to a U.N. official who works closely with the NGO. The two men were set free in the Guramsil district in Helmand province, a major front in the war against the Taliban, who also have used the province as one of their strongholds. Three other men kidnapped at the same time remain captive, the official said. |
