Biden becomes U.S. vice president

WASHINGTON (CNN) - Former Delaware Sen. Joseph Biden was sworn in
Tuesday as vice president of the United States.

Biden, the nation's 47th vice president, was sworn in by Justice John
Paul Stevens at 11:57 a.m. ET.
