Rockets pound southern Israel, hit supermarket

JERUSALEM (CNN) - Palestinian militants Wednesday fired a salvo of
rockets from Gaza into southern Israel, one landing in the parking lot of a
supermarket in Sderot, the Israeli military said.

No one was seriously injured in the strike on Sderot, a frequent target
of rocket strikes because of its close proximity to Hamas-controlled Gaza, the
Israel Defense Forces said.

It was one of 15 rocket attacks on Israel on Wednesday.
Palestinian hospital sources said the Israeli military carried out an
airstrike on Gaza City, wounding two Islamic Jihad militants.

IDF said it is checking the report.
