NEW YORK (CNN) - Rabbi Gavriel Noach Holtzberg - who had dual U.S.-Israeli citizenship - and his Israeli wife, Rivka, were among the dead in Chabad House in Mumbai, India, said Rabbi Zalman Shmotkin, a spokesman for Chabad-Lubavitch International in the United States. Also found was another American, Rabbi Leibish Teitelbaum, New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg's office said in a news release. The Holtzbergs' toddler son, Moshe, escaped with his nanny, Chabad-Lubavitch International said in a written statement. An Israeli Foreign Ministry official earlier Friday told an Israeli news station that five hostages were found dead in the house. The spokesman, Haim Hoshen, did not identify them by name or nationality. |
