(CNN) — President-elect Barack Obama Wednesday received a heavy dose of ridicule and a warning from a Web audio message said to be from al Qaeda’s deputy leader, who told the new American leader that “a heavy legacy of failure and crimes awaits” him. In the message purported to be from Ayman al-Zawahiri, the speaker criticized Obama’s foreign policy stances on Afghanistan and Israel and ridiculed the president-elect’s world view. The speaker also compared Obama unfavorably to the late Malcolm X, the fiery African-American Muslim activist from the 1950s and 1960s, and used a racial insult to belittle the incoming American president. |
