Help wanted at Obama White HousePosted: 12:54 PM ET
WASHINGTON (CNN) - Looking for a new job? President-elect Barack Obama's incoming administration has 7,996 government positions to fill, according to the newly-released Plum Book, a list of presidential-appointed jobs that is compiled every four years. The Plum Book also lists the pay schedules for each presidential appointment. A member of Obama's cabinet can make as much as $191,300. There are numerous positions, however, such as the president's chief of staff and press secretary, where the pay could be even higher and is at the administration's discretion. |
