Military commission sentences bin Laden aide to life

(CNN) - A military commission on Monday sentenced to life in confinement a former media secretary to Osama bin Laden after finding him guilty of conspiracy to murder, attacking civilians and other crimes related to terrorism.

Ali Hamza Ahmad Suliman al Bahlul, a member of al Qaeda, was also found guilty of solicitation to commit murder, attacking civilians and other crimes.

Bahlul was accused of creating al Qaeda propaganda, including the video "The Destruction of the American Destroyer USS Cole."
