U.S. missile strike kills 4 in PakistanPosted: 05:26 AM ET
ISLAMABAD, Pakistan (CNN) - A suspected U.S. missile strike in a village in Pakistan's tribal region killed four people, military sources told CNN Sunday. The missile strike late Saturday night targeted a home in the village of Khatai Qila in North Waziristan and injured two others, the sources said on condition of anonymity. The sources did not want CNN to disclose their names because they are not authorized to speak to the media. The attack was one of two suspected missile strikes on Saturday in the country's tribal region that borders Afghanistan. A second strike, also in North Waziristan, targeted the village of Matches but did not wound anyone, the sources said. Staffers at the press offices of NATO and the U.S. military in Afghanistan would not comment on the suspected strikes. The U.S. Embassy in Islamabad also refused to comment. |
