(CNN) — Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez accused the International Monetary Fund on Wednesday of causing the world financial crisis. He also criticized the body for having the temerity to suggest to governments how they might mitigate their economic problems. “The IMF pretends to wash its hands and dares to come out like a doctor savior,” Chavez said during a forum in Caracas entitled “Responses From The South To The World Economic Crisis.” |
