5 suspected militants detained

KABUL, Afghanistan (CNN) - U.S.-led coalition forces detained five suspected militants during an operation Tuesday in eastern Afghanistan, a military statement said.

They were taken into custody during an operation targeting a Taliban sub-commander known for coordinating roadside bombings in the Andar district of Ghazni province and suspected of facilitating the movement of foreign fighters in Afghanistan, according to the statement.
