Obama rules out 3 as VP candiates

(CNN) - Three Democrats who had been considered frontrunners to be the running mate of presumptive nominee Sen. Barack Obama have been told they're no longer in the running, sources close to the politicians said Friday night.

Sen. Hillary Clinton of New York - Obama's main rival for the Democratic presidential nomination - has been told that she will not be Obama's running mate, a senior Democratic Party source told CNN on Friday night.

Gov. Tom Kaine of Virginia and Sen. Evan Bayh of Indiana are no longer in the running, according to sources close to Kaine and two Democratic sources with knowledge of Bayh.
