FLAGLER BEACH, Florida (CNN) — Tropical Storm Fay made its third landfall in four days Thursday, this one near Flagler Beach on Florida’s northeast coast. On Thursday, two U.S. deaths were attributed to the storm — a 21-year-old woman who drowned while swimming off of Neptune Beach, Florida, and a woman in her mid-30s from New York who drowned off Daytona Beach. Heavy rain flooded homes and turned roads into raging rivers, leading President Bush on Thursday to declare a state of emergency due to the storm. |
