JERUSALEM (CNN) — Presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama is expected to pack in a lot during a visit to Israel on Wednesday. It’s the Illinois senator’s second day in the Middle East — the latest leg of an international tour aimed to boost his foreign policy credentials. Obama will start the day by meeting with Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak and opposition leader Benjamin Netanyahu. He then plans to lay a wrath at the Yad Vashem Holocaust memorial in Jerusalem and call on President Shimon Perez. In the afternoon, Obama is to meet with Palestinian leaders, including President Mahmoud Abbas, in the West Bank city of Ramallah. |
