NE train service delayed by power problemPosted: 08:24 PM ET
NEW YORK (CNN) - Rush hour commuters in the heavily-traveled rail corridor between Washington and Boston experienced long delays Wednesday evening after Amtrak reported a power supply problem that halted the electric train traffic for at least an hour and a half. New Jersey Transit, which uses Amtrak rails in the corridor, also shut down its service on the Northeast Corridor, North Jersey Coast Line and Midtown Direct lines after learning about a "low voltage" situation from Amtrak, said NJT spokesman Dan Stessel. Both services have been restored, but with significant back-ups. |
