SRINGAGAR, Indian-controlled Kashmir - A blast from an improvised explosive device killed nine Indian soldiers traveling Saturday in an army convoy and wounded more than 10, an army spokesman said.The soldiers were on a bus driving from the northern border district of Kupwara to Kashmir's summer capital, Srinagar. The wounded soldiers were airlifted to the army base hospital there, he said. No one claimed responsibility for the blast that occurred late in the afternoon, the spokesman said. |
