JAKARTA, Indonesia (CNN) - Indonesian police have arrested nine suspected militants and seized a large cache of explosives, authorities said Thursday. Some of the explosives were packed in Tupperware containers, while others were in the form of pipe bombs, said police spokesman Abubakar Nathaprawira. Police arrested the suspected militants in Palembang, a city in the island of Sumatra. Indonesia has been battling regional terror groups, including Jemaah Islamiyah, which is thought to be linked to al Qaeda. |
