GI person of interest in pregnant soldier deathPosted: 07:33 PM ET
(CNN)- Authorities have identified a soldier in training at Fort Bragg in North Carolina as a person of interest in the death of a pregnant soldier who was found dead in a hotel, a military official said. Spc. Megan Lynn Touma (prono:Too-mah), 23, who was seven months pregnant, was found dead on June 21 in a hotel in the area, authorities said. Lt. Col. John Clearwater told CNN Saturday that authorities have identified a soldier in training as person of interest in the case. Fayetteville Police found Touma's body after they responded to a call of strong odor coming from one of the rooms. Touma arrived at Fort Bragg on June 12. In five years with the Army, she had served with the U.S. Army Dental Activity Clinic in Bamberg, Germany, and in Fort Drum, New York, before her assignment to Fort Bragg. |
