Briton receives life, no parole in deaths of wife, daughterPosted: 11:52 AM ET
(CNN) - A day after he was convicted of shooting his wife and infant daughter to death at the family's Massachusetts home, a British man was sentenced Thursday to two terms of life in prison without the possibility of parole.
Neil Entwistle's crime was "an incomprehensible, planned, deliberate murder" of his wife Rachel, 27, and the couple's 9-month-old daughter Lillian Rose in 2006, Middlesex District Court Judge Diane Kottmeyer said in sentencing him. A jury convicted Entwistle on first-degree murder charges Wednesday. Before he was sentenced, members of Rachel Entwistle's family addressed the judge. Her mother, Priscilla Matterazzo, noted in her statement that she has lost two generations of her family, a loss she said leaves her experiencing "an eternity of emptiness."
