Tsvangirai to CNN: Open to optionsPosted: 06:35 AM ET
HARARE, Zimbabwe (CNN) - Zimbabwe opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai is open to a range of political options as long as they reduce the violence and end the country's political crisis, he told CNN on Wednesday. Tsvangirai, who said he remains holed up at the Dutch Embassy in Harare, said he would consider a repeat of the current presidential elections "under conditions acceptable to everyone," a postponement of the vote, or even a negotiated transition of power. The opposition leader has withdrawn from this Friday's runoff with President Robert Mugabe - a vote he called "a sham." |
