U.S. soldier killed in Iraq

(CNN) - A U.S. soldier was killed and five were wounded Friday in three roadside bomb attacks on coalition force patrols in Iraq's Diyala province, the U.S. military said.

The military said the identities are being withheld "pending next of kin notification and release by the Department of Defense."

This brings the number of American troop deaths in June to 18 and the number of U.S. service member deaths during the war to 4,102.
