Blasts interrupt Nepalese meeting on political transitionPosted: 11:22 AM ET
KATHMANDU, Nepal (CNN)- Two apparent bomb blasts Wednesday interrupted meetings of high-ranking Nepalese politicians as they worked on a historic move to change the country from a monarchy to a republic. The explosions struck Wednesday at about 8:20 p.m. local time and damaged the convention center where the politicians were gathered. The explosions were observed by a CNN journalist who was covering the meetings. There were no reports of injuries. |
