YANGON, Myanmar (CNN) - The United States has received approval from the Myanmar
government Monday to send two more planes filled with humanitarian aid supplies
to the cyclone-ravaged country on Tuesday, according to two U.S. military
officials.

The plane will be loaded with similar supplies as the first U.S. aircraft that landed in Myanmar on Monday, which carried 28,000 pounds (12,700 kilograms) of supplies, including water, mosquito netting and blankets.

U.S. officials were also able to met with Myanmar government officials
Monday. At the meeting the group discussed plans for further aid and a source
described the talks as "cordial" and "preliminary".
