BAGHDAD (CNN) — A parked car bomb that blew up Tuesday outside a northern Iraq restaurant patronized by police officers killed four people and wounded 27, an Interior Ministry official said. The incident occurred in the central district of Tikrit, in Salaheddin province, the ministry said. Police were among the casualties. The U.S. military, which confirmed the attack, said that while insurgents are attempting to operate in the area, “overall attacks have decreased dramatically.” |
