Suicide bombing in Baghdad kills 1 wounds 10

BAGHDAD (CNN) - Violence in Baghdad flared on Monday, with at least one civilian killed in a suicide bombing aimed at a checkpoint and two mortars fired at the International Zone, an Iraqi Interior Ministry official told CNN.

Ten people were wounded in what was a motorcycle suicide bombing, which targeted a checkpoint in eastern Baghdad manned by the Sons of Iraq, the American-backed militia group. Two of those wounded are members of the group.
