Gunmen fire on Israeli embassy in MauritaniaPosted: 01:48 AM ET
JERUSALEM (CNN) - Gunmen opened fire on the Israeli Embassy in the West African nation of Mauritania Friday morning, a Foreign Ministry spokesman said. The gunmen fled after government guards fired back, the spokesman said. A bystander was shot, but no embassy employees were wounded, according to the ministry. The number of gunmen was not immediately known. The embassy is located in the Mauritanian capital, Nouakchott. |
