Republicans eye Florida for Super Tuesday momentumPosted: 02:14 PM ET
(CNN) - Republican presidential hopefuls fanned out Sunday across Florida, clamoring for voters in a race that could cement a front runner or give a former national front runner the boost he desperately needs. "We're going to win in Florida," former New York Mayor Rudolph Giuliani vowed on CBS' "Face the Nation." But Giuliani - who has staked his campaign on a Florida victory after all but pulling out of other early contests - trails his two leading rivals in recent polls. Polls suggest U.S. Sen. John McCain of Arizona and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney are in a close battle for Tuesday's contest, the final primary before "Super Tuesday" Feb. 5, when more than 20 states hold their nominating contests. |
